My Dad...My Hero

I have always been proud of talking about my father Mr. Hemant Thakur. Just saying his name pleases me and makes me feel fortunate, not only because I was his daughter, but also because we shared so many moments, both sad and happy. My father’s name was Hemant ( Bandu) and left this world yesterday at age 59, with a smile, although he was a rather serious man.

My father had a strong character, firm ideas and was a Dashing fighter. Nothing was impossible for him; he would take offence if someone told him something was impossible to do. He always got what he wanted.

He Lived his life like King... I saw him smile when he obtained what he aimed at, and he would be happy when he got home and told us about his achievements. He was social and volunteering many things in community.

Appearances would tell otherwise, but my father was very sentimental and emotional. There were days when many accused me for something which was not my fault...But My Father supported me. He protected me from all Evil. He was making sure that I am Ok and he taught me to become tough and strong.

Something I will miss about my father is hearing him talk about me and my sisters. Despite our mistakes, he would always talk about us with pride, sticking his chest out and with tears of emotion in his eyes.

Like everybody else, he had flaws, but more virtues, which I will miss.

He gave us all he could. He was strict, but also loving. He was great Cook. All my culinary skills are inherited from him...

I have learned many things from my father; something new was learned from him every day. He taught my sisters and me to value the most important things, and to put in second place anything that did not give a true meaning to our lives.

My father was a conservative man, but he understood us and gave us freedom. He was always interested in the country; he did a lot of things for his land, and taught us that it is not enough to be well yourself, we feel better when the rest are also well.

I can only do justice to this by conveying some points that he would want to teach others: - Live honestly and like a King... - Work efficiently and make the most of every moment...Enjoy the life fully.. Eat good Food...feed others... - Cherish what you have - Find a way to make others smile and find things that make you smile - Contribute to this world and make time to enjoy your contributions

My dad's teachings were a cure for my selfishness. He taught me to consider everyone as a part of my family and taught me how love people by sharing and giving. I believe that the biggest fantasy in life is to buy someone something he really needs and watch his facial expression. He was Giver...Kind heart and jolly...in spite of all ups and downs in life he always was Happy and smiley..

From my place I am thankful for everything he taught me. He taught me things that I need or was going to in life. I am what I am because of him and whatever I will achieve in my life will be credited to him.

I believe that my dad will always be with me even after his soul leaves his body; he will be there through his teachings that I believe are my duty to pass on to my children. He will be there through me; when the people see my remarkable success one day, they will know the value of his teachings. He taught me everything about life; hope, faith, and the long journey ahead. To me he is the greatest hero.

I will miss you a lot, dad, and I hope you keep your word and be with me every day of my life. Thank you for being with me for so long. I love you, dad.
